The Health Informatics and Health IT Professional Education program is a 9-week intensive classroom-based program, which takes place Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm in the McCombs School of Business (GSB 5.142). Student will gain knowledge in four didactic courses and hands-on training with five electronic health record software systems, complete a 2-week off-site practicum with a healthcare provider, software vendor, or government organization, and study in a state-of-the-art mock clinic modeling the continuum of care. Graduates of this program are also eligible to sit for 4 external certifications; Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHP), Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt, and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR).
